op5 prepares for further growth and expansion by appointing Daniel Maurer as new CEO

Swedish software company op5 continues the international expansion by recruiting Daniel Maurer as new CEO. Maurer will assume the position of Executive Director in April and thus have overall responsibility for op5's continued growth. At the same time the company board reinforces with key skills in mobility, cloud-based services and enterprise business from the U.S. market.

Daniel Maurer has more than 20 years of international experience from the software business, and was in management for the travel that EPiServer did to the global company it is today. He has previously held senior management positions in Heads Retail, Star Counter and Netoptions.

The market is undergoing major changes, which offers new possibilities for op5 broadening its presence into new segments and increase customer base. Daniel Maurer with his solid experience in growth companies has the perfect profile to take op5 into the next phase, says Tom Nyman, Chairman of the op5 Board.

      op5 is, with its clear focus on open and flexible, yet simple monitoring solutions well positioned for the future. Taking over the role as CEO in this very exciting phase is a challenge and I would like to contribute to the company's continued expansion, confirms Daniel Maurer.

After 10 years of growth, particularly in the Nordic market and in connection with Daniel Maurer takes over the role of CEO for op5, former CEO and co-founder Jan Josephson takes place as CTO.

      I am looking forward to work within marketing and more closely with product development in op5, says Jan Josephson.

To further support the company’s strategies for growth and expansion op 5also announced the appointment of three new members of the company’s Board of Directors. The new board members bring combined experience from international growth companies in combination with strong knowledge of IT, mobility and end-user markets.

      We are very excited to introduce Doug Rogers, Lonnie Schilling and Torbjorn Eriksen as new members of op5 board. Together, they bring both extensive experience in international business and excellence in op5 key growth areas like mobility and cloud-based services, continues Chairman of the Board, Tom Nyman.

Doug Rogers had a key position when the US-based SolarWind’s (Nasdaq Exchange) was built and started to grow. He brings extensive experience from the U.S. and international markets for monitoring solutions.

Lonnie Schilling is currently President of Birdstep Technology ASA. Schilling has previously held several senior management positions at networking company Cisco and contributes good insight into international business relations as well as broad knowledge in the area of ​​mobility .

Torbjorn Eriksen has over 25 years experience in the IT industry, and currently works as a product and development at Paxport . Eriksen reinforces op5 board with in-depth knowledge of cloud -based services.

All persons will start in the company or company board from early April.
