Two Opening Performances Launch This Summer's La Bohème at Opera på Skäret
On 25 and 26 July, Giacomo Puccini's beloved opera La Bohème opens at Opera på Skäret. The 2026 season begins with two opening performances, each featuring a different international cast of soloists. The two casts will then alternate throughout the production's 13 performances, running until 23 August.
Following several weeks of intensive rehearsals, the soloists, chorus, orchestra and artistic team are now ready to welcome audiences to this year's production in the spectacular opera house on the shores of Lake Ljusnaren.
"La Bohème is an opera that touches people, whether they are experiencing it for the first time or returning to it once again. Throughout the rehearsal period, the entire company has worked with tremendous energy and dedication, and we are now looking forward to finally sharing this year's production with our audiences at Opera på Skäret," says Alexander Niclasson, Artistic Director of Opera på Skäret.
This year's production brings together singers from several countries in an international company featuring two alternating principal casts, giving audiences the opportunity to experience two distinct interpretations of Puccini's timeless masterpiece.
La Bohème will be performed 13 times between 25 July and 23 August 2026.
