A bohemian bolt-hole resting just moments from the healing salt waters of the Aegean Sea, Skiathos Princess Hotel is building its wellness credentials by partnering with trainer and fitness entrepreneur, Rebecca Cartledge, of boutique fitness specialist Sandy Feet.

Guests looking to stay at Skiathos Princess Hotel 25thJuly – 2ndAugust 2014 will be able to enjoy (for an additional cost of £800pp) one-to-one bespoke exercise sessions every day. Guests opting for the Sandy Feet programme will also enjoy a “pure” menu designed to  energise and revitalise, a full relaxation programme to balance and indulge the body and of course, a full week’s holiday at the luxury resort.

Sandy Feet was born out or the belief that a love of exercise, eating healthy food and a balanced lifestyle can lead to wellness and happiness for all mums and their family. It was founded by Rebecca – an ex UK lacrosse player and fitness guru – after she had two children and wanted to encourage other mothers to live a healthy lifestyle in body and mind alongside their busy family and working life. Crucially, Rebecca encourages parents to pass on a positive message to children by exercising with them and eating well; taking part in the Sandy Feet programme at Princess Resort, Skiathos needn’t take away time with the family.

To reap the benefits of sea air on health and sand on fitness, the retreat will take place on Skiathos Princess Hotel’s very own beach. However, to ensure that guests take long-term change home with them, Rebecca will work personally with each guest four weeks before and after the Retreat to motivate them both physically and mentally.

Rebecca Cartledge, Founder of Sandy Feet, says “We want the Sandy Feet experience at Skiathos Princess Hotel to be responsible for positive, long-term change. Preparing guests beforehand, as well as offering support following, should really help achieve this. We send menu plans, shopping lists and weekly workouts over email for four weeks following, as well as daily motivational texts. We hope that merging a happy holiday at an amazing destination with everyday changes will make goals seem both achievable and – most importantly - enjoyable!”
