Michael Hürter new Senior Vice President for the Central Cluster

Michael Hürter has been appointed Senior Vice President Central Custer (Germany and Austria) and member of Papyrus Senior Executive Team (SET). He joins from the German supermarket chain Plus Warenhandelsgeshäft mbH, where he has held the position as CEO Plus Europe and member of the executive board of Tengelmann Group. Besides various executive positions within the Tengelmann Group the last 13 years, previous employments also include managerial positions at Lidl and Aldi.

With responsibility for 4200 stores in 11 European countries and approximate 42000 employees, and spending his whole working career in a business environment characterised by customer focus, expansion and supply chain and operational efficiency, Michael Hürter will bring valuable experience to the future development of the central cluster and to Papyrus.

Michael Hürter takes up his new position on August 2 and succeeds Rainer Köster, who after 16 years with Papyrus will retire in July. Michael Hürter will have his base in Ettlingen Germany and report to Peter Sandberg, CEO and President
