Papyrus to increase prices for uncoated papers

Report this content

As a merchant Papyrus acts in the supply chain between paper producers and paper consumers, where balancing margins on product sold, net contribution from delivery services and distribution cost is crucial for maintaining a sustainable operation. Over a period of time Papyrus has seen a continuous margin and profit deterioration within the segment of printing and writing. Increased raw material cost and noticeable changed supply-demand situation has now led to increased prices and constraints in product availability from leading producers of uncoated papers.

In order to secure the supply of products to our customers and to act on prevailing market conditions, Papyrus today announces price increases for wood-free uncoated papers, meaning office papers, folio sheets and reels by 5-8% as of April 15, 2012. The size of the increase is depending on product grade and profitability.
