Human handwriting is a challenge
Human handwriting, either with finger or stylus, is a challenge. A stylus with touch screen has to replicate exactly what human would do with pen and paper. There are multiple challenges for the replication: Variation of speed may be significant, and the style of handwriting varies a lot. The user may have the palm of the hand on the screen, or he´s tilting or tipping the pen. OptoFidelity has developed new testing solutions in co-operation with Atmel to overcome these challenges. The project started already in 2015 and the results look promising:
- It has been great to work with OptoFidelity expert teams, says Iqbal Sharif, Senior Director of Atmel Touch Division. We have really challenged OptoFidelity team and technology, and it has been great to see what we can achieve with this partnership. I´m looking forward to continue the intensive co-operation with OptoFidelity teams.
- This has been a great experience. We have been working in the industry long, but this was again a new challenge for us to solve. We are proud to work with the industry leaders and deliver added value to them, Ilmo Lounasmaa, VP of Test Robotics from OptoFidelity concludes.
