Two new Non-Executive Directors join Ordnance Survey Board

Ordnance Survey is pleased to announce the appointment of two new Non-Executive Directors to the Board.

Mrs Anne Jessopp and Mr Stephen Lake took up their appointments with effect from 10 December 2014.

Welcoming both new members to the Board, Chairman Sir Rob Margetts said: “I am delighted that Anne and Stephen have agreed to join us. They both have a wealth of experience in developing commercial strategies and implementing business change projects. I am confident that they will make a valuable contribution to the Board as we focus on driving innovation and growth in the geospatial industry.”

Anne has been Director of Business Services at the Royal Mint since 2008, during this time Anne has focussed on working with companies who are developing their culture and undergoing significant change. Anne has experience of working in HR across a number of sectors, gaining manufacturing experience early in her career at Rolls Royce and Procter and Gamble. Anne has also gained consumer experience at Radio Rentals and RAC. Before joining the Royal Mint Anne was HR Director of an industrial services company and Remploy.

Stephen is a specialist in business transformation, growth, strategy & finance. He has over 30 years of commercial experience in digital media and technology businesses, both as a senior corporate executive with Reuters and QinetiQ, and as a successful investor / entrepreneur. Stephen is an experienced Non-Executive Director, with over 17 years of board experience in both the USA & the UK, helping organisations he works with to gain the insights, commercial opportunities, skills and relationships they need to grow and profit from change. Stephen is also a UK qualified Chartered Accountant and will additionally serve on the Ordnance Survey Audit & Risk Committee.
