Jan Lindh has been responsible for developing Orkla Media right from the start in 1983.  Under his management the company has grown to become one of the large media groups in the Nordic area, with leading positions in Norway, Denmark and Poland. The company currently has a turnover of nearly NOK 8 billion and a staff of approximately 7,000.

"Following an extremely long and successful career in one and the same top position it is understandable that Jan Lindh now wants replacement.  All the same, we want to take advantage of his knowledge and resources in the time ahead and have therefore asked him to participate internally on boards etc., which he has accepted to do. For instance, he will stay on the boards of Det Berlingske Officin and Orkla Press", according to Mr Halvor Stenstadvold, Board Chairman of Orkla Media.

Bjørn Wiggen (44) has been employed as the new managing director of Orkla Media. He has worked in various positions at Orkla since1983 and was associated with Orkla Media between 1987 and 1993, as Jan Lindh's deputy among other things. Since 1993 Mr Wiggen has worked in the brewery section, first with Pripps Ringnes in Stockholm, then he held various positions, one of the being as CEO of Ringnes from 1998 until 2001.  Since 2002 Mr Wiggen has worked at Carlsberg Breweries in Copenhagen, being in charge of the brewery operations in Germany and Eastern Europe.
