Establishment of a management team for Orkla Speciality Materials
A management team for Orkla's Speciality Materials division, to be headed by Ole Enger, will be established on 1 July. The other members of the team will be John G. Thuestad (MD of Elkem), Lennart Evrell (MD of Sapa), Per Sørlie (MD of Borregaard), Marius Grønningsæter (Director of Business Development and Legal Affairs) and Svein Tore Holsether (Director of Business Development and Finance).
The Orkla Group is divided into four business areas: Foods/Brands, Media, Speciality Materials and Financial Investments. Each business area has the strategic and operational responsibility for its own development and draws on the Orkla Group's common resources.
Orkla Speciality Materials consists of Elkem, Sapa, Borregaard and Orkla's interest in REC. A management team, as in Orkla's other business areas, will be established for Speciality Materials from 1 July.
The management team is already working on the development of several major projects in all the three main companies in Speciality Materials, but will also be involved in the companies' improvement and strategic processes and in the development of other existing and new interests within Orkla Speciality Materials.
Marius Grønningsæter has been appointed Director of Business Development and Legal Affairs for Speciality Materials, while Svein Tore Holsether has been appointed Director of Business Development and Finance. Both will report to Ole Enger and will be located at Orkla's head office in Oslo.
Elkem's legal affairs unit will be amalgamated with Orkla's legal affairs unit from the same date and the department will be headed by Karl Otto Tveter, Senior VP Legal Affairs.
