New CFO at Orkla

Jens Bjørn Staff (46) has been appointed Chief Financial Officer of Orkla ASA.

Mr Staff comes to Orkla from Statkraft, where he has been Executive Vice President and CFO with responsibility for finance, corporate audit and procurement since 2011.

In the period 2005-2011, he held senior executive positions in various units of Statoil:

  • CFO of Statoil Norge and Statoil Detaljhandel  

  • Vice President Finance & Control, Energy & Retail Europe  

  • Head of Finance & Control Europe & Asia, Development & Production International 

Staff was formerly Financial Director of Posten Norge (2002-2005), and has held several senior management positions at PricewaterhouseCoopers (1998-2002). He has an MBA from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH), a BA from BI Norwegian Business School, and an intermediate course in economics from the University of Oslo.


"We are very pleased that Jens Bjørn Staff has accepted the position of CFO," says Orkla President and CEO Åge Korsvold. Mr Staff will be a member of Orkla's Group Executive Board and will report to the President and CEO. He will take up his position on a date to be agreed upon.

Mr Staff will be taking over from Terje Andersen, who has headed the corporate finance area at Orkla for many years. Since 1 May 2013, Mr Andersen has been Executive Vice Pesident and head of Orkla Investments in addition to being CFO. Orkla Investments manages Orkla's financial and industrial interests outside the branded consumer goods business. Mr Andersen will continue to serve as CFO until Mr Staff takes up his duties.
