Orkla ASA: Sale of the Asan and Allévo brands completed

In stock exchange notifications published on 17 December 2015 and 22 December 2015, respectively, it was announced that an agreement had been entered into to sell the Asan and Allévo brands. Both transactions have now been approved by the relevant competition authorities and completed.

Orkla purchased the Swedish branded consumer goods group Cederroth in 2015, and the agreement was approved by the competition authorities on condition that the Asan and Allévo brands were sold. Now that the transactions have been completed, this condition has been met.

Orkla is a leading supplier of branded consumer goods and concept solutions to the grocery, out-of-home and bakery markets in the Nordics and Baltics and in selected markets in central Europe and India. Orkla is listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange and headquartered in Oslo. In 2014, the Group had a total turnover of around NOK 30 billion, and had around 13,000 employees at year end 2014.
