Orrefors - Named manufacturer of formal stemware for the U.S Department of State Embassies

Orrefors a division of Orrefors Kosta Boda, USA; a New Wave Group company, has been awarded the contract for design and production of stemware for the U.S. Department of State Embassies worldwide.

Founded in 1898, Orrefors has been a leading producer of glassware of the highest quality and exquisite design with the help of the world’s greatest craftsmen, for over 100 years. Orrefors worked in coordination with the Department of State’s Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations to design the new unique stemware pattern named “Jasmine”. This beautiful, light and elegant design is an exclusive stemware pattern for the Department of State and will be used in over 400 embassy residences throughout the world. Jack Repetto, Orrefors, USA President, stated; “We are thrilled at the opportunity to manufacture this beautiful stemware for the State Department. It allows us to demonstrate the high quality of craftsmanship from our factories in Sweden.” Orrefors has been working closely with Systems Design Incorporated, a minority owned small business design firm based in Washington, DC, to secure the contract for production. Systems Design Incorporated is a business under the U.S. Small Business Administration, Business Development Program, Washington, DC.
