Orrefors Kosta Boda opens flagship store in Beijing

Just in time for the kick-off to the Chinese holiday season, Orrefors Kosta Boda opens its flagship store in Beijing on Tuesday, 21 September 2010.  As holiday shoppers search for gifts from Mid-Autumn Festival through to Chinese New Year, the new 400 square meter shop will provide the perfect assortment of glass and art glass for any occasion.  Over 500 pieces of Orrefors and Kosta Boda glass and art glass are available and on display, some of which is being offered for the first time in China.  Located in the prestigious Sanlitun Village North, Orrefors and Kosta Boda lead a collection of international boutiques in the opening of this new pedestrian-oriented mall. 

“We expect great success from our newest location with its proximity to central Beijing and the diplomatic core,” says Randy Mikko Royce, General Manager Orrefors Kosta Boda China.  “I am particularly proud of the Scandinavian-inspired showroom that not only captures the spirit of Sweden, it compliments and enhances the essence of the glass.” The new store is spread across two levels, the second of which has a specially designed mirrored ceiling that reflect the colored art glass in such a way that passers-by can see from the ground level as well as a VIP area for special events.  Sanlitun Village North is Orrefors Kosta Boda’s 11th store in China.  Other locations include Shanghai, Wuxi and Wuhan.
