Karolinska University hospital in Solna and Huddinge has placed a SEK 7.23 million order with Ortivus to supply its CoroNet system for monitoring of cardiac patients. The system will be delivered in the first quarter of 2006. The order follows a successful launch of CoroNet under 2005 with tenders having already being won at several other hospitals in Sweden, including S:t Görans hospital in Stockholm, all cardiac clinics at Sahlgranska University hospital in Gothenburg, and hospitals in Alingsås and Gävle. Jorvi hospital in Finland has also placed an order in autumn 2005. Using the CoroNet-system, patients are able to go from rest in bed to walking about the hospital ward without changing system. This mobility is achieved through Bluetooth technique, which is used for continuous transmission of data, for instance ECG. This facilitates correct and timely treatment of patients and may contribute to an earlier discharge from the hospital. “So far we have signed orders for CoroNet of around 30 million crowns,” say Rain Eriksoo, Vice President Marketing and Sales at Ortivus. “The success with CoroNet strengthens our strategy of supporting the whole care chain for cardiac patients, from emergency care in ambulances using our MobiMed system to continued care and discharge using CoroNet in the hospital environment. It is a solid bridge ahead for further expansion of CoroNet on the European market.” For further information, please contact: Rain Eriksoo, telephone: +76 8 446 45 11, mobile: +46 70 583 34 43 E-mail: rain.eriksoo@ortivus.se Also visit www.ortivus.com
