Mikael Strindlund leaves Ortivus. Walter K. Young appointed new CEO and president.

After substantial changes, new product launches and a necessary restructuring, Ortivus enters into a new phase.

The Board of Directors has therefore today appointed Walter K. Young as CEO and president. Walter K. Young is a member of the Ortivus group management, and has since 1999 been responsible for the group’s North American operations. Walter K. Young has extensive management experience from international medtech businesses including Marquette Medical and Spacelabs Medical Inc.

- Mikael Strindlund has made an outstanding contribution to Ortivus during his tenure at Ortivus, including a substantial and necessary restructuring, new product launches, establishing of international sales channels, and achieving a market leading position for cardiology in Sweden, says Akbar Seddigh, Chairman of the Board of Directors.

- We both agree that this is an appropriate time to end the assignment, says Mikael Strindlund and Akbar Seddigh jointly.
Walter K. Young takes up the position immediately. Mikael Strindlund stands at the company’s disposal until further notice.
