Ortivus has received the prestigious order to equip the cardiology department at Uppsala University Hospital with the monitoring system CoroNet. The value of the order is initially 6.1 MSEK. Delivery of the system will begin in the third quarter 2006. The possibility for the patient to be mobile and clear and intuitive user interfaces are some of the reasons behind the selection according to the order documentation. The launch of CoroNet continues to be successful: The University Hospital of Karolinska in Stockholm, The University Hospital of Sahlgrenska in Gothenburg and hospitals in Gävle and Alingsås are some of the hospitals that have selected Ortivus’ system for their cardiology departments. Ortivus has received all orders on cardiac monitoring systems made by Swedish university hospitals in 2005-2006. ”We see that Ortivus’ specialization and experience in cardiac monitoring offer great opportunities to achieve a strong position in this niche since other more general solutions offered on the market do not always meet the cardiologists’ special demands, ” says Rain Eriksoo, Vice President Sales and Marketing at Ortivus. The CoroNet-system enables patients to go from rest in bed to walking about the hospital ward without changing system. This mobility is achieved through Bluetooth technique, which is used for continuous transmission of data, for instance ECG. This facilitates correct and timely treatment of patients and may contribute to an earlier discharge from the hospital.
