Ortivus equip Spanish emergency organization 061 Baleares with the pre-hospital eHealth platform MobiMed
Ortivus together with their Spanish partner, Dextro Medica, has been awarded an order from 061 Baleares to implement Ortivus pre-hospital eHealth platform MobiMed. 061 Baleares, with a total of 50 ambulances in their fleet, is the emergency organization responsible for the islands Mallorca, Menorca and Ibiza. In a first step 12 Advance Life Support (ALS) ambulances will be equipped with MobiMed. With the overall objective to increase patient safety, efficiency and clinical outcome, 061 Baleares will implement MobiMed as a decision support system to improve collaboration between the various stake holders in the health care system. Information about observations and treatments carried out in the pre-hospital setting will be shared with care providers further down the care chain, leading to faster and more correct treatment. Furthermore, MobiMed will enable the ambulance teams to access clinical patient record in order to prepare for a more accurate treatment. “Introducing integrated pre-hospital decision support brings obvious benefits for the patient at the same time as it increase the overall efficiency, not only for the emergency organization but for the entire care chain. It’s evident that more a more organizations are embracing these possibilities”, says Jan B Andersson, CEO of Ortivus.
