Motorola to ship new Linux-based device with Opera Mobile

Oslo, Norway - July 14, 2008 - Opera Software today announced that Motorola has selected the Opera Mobile browser for a new mobile handset.

Motorola has introduced the MOTO A810, an entry-level smartphone running a Linux-based operating system. In addition to Opera as the default browser, the A810 features Bluetooth capabilities, handwriting recognition, and a multimedia player.

Opera Software is paid royalties in accordance with the software licensing agreement between Opera and Motorola.
