OPERA TO ENTER INTO CHINESE JOINT VENTURE

Opera Software today announced that it is in the final stages of negotiations to establish a Joint Venture with a major Chinese mobile phone distributor. The Joint Venture will enable Opera and the partner to accelerate their growth in users in the Chinese market by combining browser technology from Opera with local content, distribution and operations. Opera will invest in the Joint Venture and is guaranteed a minimum amount of revenue from the Joint Venture corresponding to Opera's initial investment.
