All roads lead straight through Ötztal! The Stuiben Trail Run opens the running season in Tirol’s longest side valley on 19 + 20 May 2023. In July (21 + 22 July), the Glacier Trail Run held in Gurgl will challenge you with up to 62 kilometers. There are early bird discounts on registration fees until the end of the year. When booking early, participants also have the chance to win a free stay on the event weekend.

There are 1600 kilometers of footpaths, climbs, routes and hiking trails to explore within Ötztal. Even professional trail runners will find perfect training conditions and unlimited competition options in alpine terrain.

700 steps uphill
At the Stuiben Sprint (19 May) in Umhausen, athletes can warm up for the trails of the following day over a distance of four kilometers. Then they continue over 728 steps along Tirol’s biggest waterfall: scenic Stuiben Falls. The shortest route of the Stuiben Trail Run at 12.5 kilometers is ideal for beginners. The 26 km variant leads to the summit cross on Narrenkogel peak (2309 m). The most demanding route of the event covers some 3000 meters in altitude and 44 kilometers.

Close to the glaciers
The sixth edition of the Glacier Trail Run (21 + 22 July) held in Gurgl, attracts runners with highly challenging routes up to 3000 meters above sea level. International and national running pros, but also amateur athletes, put their endurance to the test on high alpine trails. The program starts on Friday (21 July) with a pasta party at Hohe Mut Alm and the Top Mountain Run as a sprint competition. On Saturday, participants conquer the 62K, 42K, 26K or 14K routes as sporting highlights. There will be a live broadcast and free equipment tests on both event weekends.

Young runners at the start
The "WIDI Trail Run" for children from the age of four takes place on the second race day (Saturday) of the main events. There are great non-cash prizes to win. The supervised children's program entertains young spectators during the events.

On your marks, get set, register!
Registration for the competitions has been open since 01 November. All those who registers by 30 November can win a stay at the event weekend! Until 31 December, participants can even benefit from attractive early booking discounts. Afterwards, staggered entry fees will apply.
