In early April 2020, the latest epic 007 movie "No Time to Die" will celebrate its premiere. True fans who want to explore the myth of the world-famous secret agent close up have the opportunity to do so in Sölden all year round. At the peak of mighty Gaislachkogl at 3048 m, 007 ELEMENTS - the world's first adventure world revolving around "James Bond" - is waiting for you.

Five years after filming "Spectre", Sölden is still a popular pilgrimage site for movie and Bond fans from around the globe. Visitors have the unique chance to explore the original locations shown in the film amidst the awe-inspiring Alpine scenery. The 007 ELEMENTS cinematic installation, offering award-winning architecture and staging, ranks among the particularly attractive highlights. Also the film series' producers Barbara Broccoli & Michael G. Wilson praised the "bondesque secret hiding place along with the iconic look of the early James Bond movies".

Following the tracks of 007

James Bond and Sölden: a lasting liaison. When director and Oscar winner Sam Mendes chose the location as the official filming spot, nobody could foresee the final result. One of the filmmaker's decisive reasons for choosing the location was the unprecedented architecture of the ice Q building on Gaislachkogl at 3048 m. It was designed by the renowned Tirolean architect Johann Obermoser who already created the futuristic design of Gaislachkogl mountain gondola. In 2015, the film crew stayed in Ötztal for several weeks to capture the scenes at the ice Q (Austria's highest toque-awarded gourmet restaurant), at the terminals of the unique Gaislachkogl mountain gondola and the hilarious chase along the winding road to Rettenbach Glacier. But Sölden's connection with 007 goes beyond the presence for several minutes in the blockbuster "Spectre" with box office returns of 880 million Dollars worldwide. Thanks to the 007 ELEMENTS adventure world opened in 2018, the most legendary spy has found a second home in Ötztal.

Summit experience with Bond

007 ELEMENTS is just as thrilling as the legendary films of the secret agent franchise series. Covering an area of 1300 m², nine halls and chambers take you straight into the James Bond universe inside the mountain. The highlights of the exhibition include a Briefing Room where Moneypenny actress Naomie Harris takes you on a journey through the most impressive locations from 60 years of Bond history. Countless high-tech gadgets await visitors in the Tech Lab. Interactive elements also give fans an exciting insight behind the scenes of a film production. The Action Hall shows the BN2 Islander aircraft that is crashed by Daniel Craig alias James Bond during the chase in "Spectre". Nature and architecture take on the main roles with a true Cinemascope backdrop on the 230 m² Open-air Plaza. Stunning views of the Ötztal mountain scenery await you here.

Star parade in Sölden

On the occasion of "Spectre's" filming a team of almost 600 people stayed at the Hot Spot in the Alps. Among them also famous actors like Daniel Craig, Léa Seydoux, Q actor Ben Whishaw and director Sam Mendes. Craig and his team chose the Bergland Sölden Design Hotel as their fairly stylish temporary home.
