Summer finals in the BIKE REPUBLIC SÖLDEN
The unrivaled Ötztal Bike Nation celebrates the end of the season in the usual manner with a national holiday, or rather a whole weekend. From 29 September to 01 October, a special event awaits bicycle fans of all ages. They can indulge in regional delicacies, enjoy rides guided by top athletes or take part in the third Bicycle Parade. By the way: the summer mountain lifts are in operation until 03 October.
Bikers from near and far get their money's worth in the cycling paradise of Sölden. That's why they celebrate the end of season with a great party. No matter what age, ultimate fun and entertainment are provided. Children can prove their skills in the Kids Bike Area or take part in technique courses. True bike fans compete against each other in the Bunny Hööp Contest – who will jump the highest? Physical well-being is not neglected: all visitors can enjoy regional delicacies from local producers, farms and restaurants at several gourmet stands.
Perfectly dressed up
A lot of fun awaits the participants at the popular Bicycle Parade. Casually dressed in costumes, the cyclists race through Sölden emission-free - whether on a mountain bike, racing bike, e-bike, unicycle, scooter, city bike or balance bike. A highlight not to be missed: the female or male biker with the best costume will receive a season ticket for the coming year in Sölden. The best dressed child will also be rewarded with a prize.
Cycling with top athletes
Other program items include the Bicycle Expo, a Public Photo Day and the Enduro.tirol tour stop. This year’s absolute highlight is the Mons Royale Fernar Trail Ride Out guided by bikers - Peter Kaiser and Kathrin Stöhr.
