BARCLAYS PLC´S HOLDING IN OUTOKUMPU OYJ TO 5.34%

Outokumpu Oyj has been informed that the holding of Barclays Plc has
exceeded 5% of the paid up share capital of Outokumpu Oyj on
November 17, 2006.

With reference to Section 2, paragraph 10 of the Finnish Market
Securities Act and the relevant decision of the Finnish Ministry of
Finance, Outokumpu Oyj reports that the holdings of entities
controlled by Barclays Plc owned Outokumpu Oyj´s shares as a result
of a transaction on November 17, 2006 with the following proportions
of voting rights and share capital:
