Changes to the publishing of Outokumpu's third quarter results

Contrary to our previous announcement, Outokumpu will not host a live web cast concerning the Group's third quarter results on Thursday, October 23, 2003.

The agenda for the third quarter results announcement on October 23, 2003 will be as follows (all times indicated are Helsinki time):

1.00 pm Publishing of the third quarter results stock exchange release

3.00 pm A press conference hosted by CEO Jyrki Juusela at the Hotel Kämp, conference room Akseli Gallen-Kallela, Pohjoisesplanadi 29, 00100
Helsinki, Finland. The presentation will be delivered in Finnish.

5.00 pm A conference call in English hosted by CEO Jyrki Juusela. Those wanting to participate are kindly asked to call in the numbers +44 20 7162
0195 (Europe) or +1 334 323 6203 (the US and Canada) 5-10 minutes before the opening of the conference call. The password for the
conference call is "Outokumpu".
