NEW SHARES OF OUTOKUMPU OYJ

A total of 106 904 new shares (OUT1VN0104) subscribed
with the option rights 1998 Outokumpu Oyj and the new
shares subscribed with the Outokumpu Oyj`s convertible
bond 1999 will be traded on the Helsinki Exchanges’ Main
List as of 30 January 2004.

The new shares will be traded separately because of
difference of dividend right.
