NOTIFICATION TO THE STOCKHOLM STOCK EXCHANGE BY OUTOKUMPU ON
DECEMBER 30, 2003

Outokumpu has today issued the following notification to the
Stockholm stock exchange:

Outokumpu’s subsidiary, Outokumpu Zinc B.V., Business Identity
Code 24175160, with address Blaak 22, 3011 TA Rotterdam, The
Netherlands, has on December 30, 2003 acquired 82 446 475
shares in Boliden AB (publ), which equals to 49% of voting
rights and share capital in the company, corresponding to
48.89% of voting rights and 48.89% of the company’s share
capital following full utilization of option rights and full
conversion of the convertible bonds issued by Boliden AB
(publ).

Outokumpu Zinc B.V. owns thereafter a total of 82 446 475
shares in Boliden AB (publ), which together represent 48.89% of
voting rights in the company and 48.89% of the company’s share
capital following full utilization of option rights and full
conversion of the convertible bonds issued by Boliden AB
(publ).
