OUTOKUMPU: TIMO VUORIO APPOINTED EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT – HUMAN
RESOURCES

Mr. Timo Vuorio, M.Sc.(Econ.), has been appointed Executive Vice
President – Human Resources and member of the Group Executive
Committee as of May 1, 2005. Mr. Vuorio currently works as Senior
Vice President – Corporate Human Resources with the Ahlstrom
Corporation in Paris, France.

Timo Vuorio will be in charge of the Group’s HR strategies and
their implementation.

Vuorio will reside and have an office in Paris until November 30,
2005, and then move to Espoo, Finland.
