OUTOKUMPU OYJ – TRANSFER OF TREASURY SHARES

Outokumpu Oyj has transferred a total of 315 310 of treasury
shares to the persons participating in the 2001 share remuneration
scheme for management. The number of shares transferred was
calculated based on the trading volume weighted average share
price of EUR 10.45 on February 12, 2004. Following the transfer
Outokumpu holds 808 130 treasury shares.
