Outokumpu Technology to deliver a sulphuric acid plant to Egypt

Outokumpu Technology has signed a contract with Suez Company for Fertilizer Production for the design and delivery of a new sulphuric acid plant to be built in Egypt. The contract value exceeds EUR 18 million.

The new plant will be located in Ain Sokhna on the Red Sea coast in Eqypt. It will produce 1 200 tonnes sulphuric acid per day as well as electrical energy to be used in the downstream fertilizer production facilities.

Outokumpu Technology will provide basic and detail engineering for the project, supply of the equipment as well as construction and commissioning supervision. The project will have a total duration of two years.
