Outokumpu Technology acquired Lurgi Metallurgie ferrous technologies in 2001. Lurgi Metallurgie delivered the first sinter plant to TISCO in 1957 and the second one in 1986. Currently over 400 sinter plants worldwide are using Lurgi Metallurgie technology in the iron and steel industry.
