In January, Ovako is bringing a new power chord to the recruitment landscape.
Ovako - a worldwide leader in steel, whose goal is to decarbonize society for generations to come seeks pioneers in areas such as metallurgy and material sciences who defy conventional norms. Step into the world of "Green Metal Heads," an innovative era in the steel industry marked by a rebellious spirit. Join the Green Metal Heads World Tour 2024 and get your hands on our iconic Ovako merchandise. Beyond being a recruitment initiative, this is a chance to redefine the future of steel by infusing it with a combination of attitude and innovation.

Introducing a new era of metal – "Green Metal." Taking inspiration from the realms of Heavy Metal, Speed Metal, and Black Metal, Ovako invites you to join the ranks of "Green Metal Heads." As pioneers in decarbonizing society, we are on the lookout for those who resonate with our spirit and are ready to embark on a journey that is both enriching and, above all, fun.

The Green Metal Heads World Tour 2024 will be stopping at the student fairs at locations such as Luleå, Stockholm, Örebro, and Linköping. Additionally, the campaign is set to be rolled out in Finland later in 2024.

Each venue promises an immersive experience, complete with our "iconic" Ovako T-shirts, patches and tattoos– all infused with the unmistakable attitude of the more daring Ovako. Join us as we redefine the future of steel with passion, innovation, and a touch of rebellious spirit!

Together with the agency Open/Grow, colleagues Martin Egholt and Saiva Zalkalns have developed the concept and are now looking forward to the launch.

“This campaign is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the spirit this company embodies, because Ovako is a fantastic place to develop yourself as well as creating impact from day one. We hope this will provide the visibility that allows us to elaborate on how you can be a part of a decarbonized future, says Martin Egholt, Head of Talent Acquisition & People Development

“It has been a pleasure to work together with colleagues and the agency Grow/Open to develop the campaign “Green Metal Heads.” Our aim is to attract talented people who dare to think differently and challenge the status quo. We hope that this campaign will stand out and attract more graduate students and make Ovako more visible”, says Saiva Zalkalns, Director and Head of Group Communications
