Phetra Ericsson new EVP HR, Communication & SHE at Ovako
Ovako has announced today that Phetra Ericsson, currently HR Manager for the Hällefors business unit, has been appointed as the new Executive Vice President HR, Communication & SHE for the Group. She takes over from Karin Lagerstedt Woolford, who will leave the Group at the end of February this year.
Phetra Ericsson has been at Ovako since 2011, and has 16 years of experience in the field of human resources and leadership from several different industries, as well as operational experience, including as acting Site Manager at Ovako in Hällefors since the summer of 2016.
“I look forward to welcoming Phetra to Group Management, with responsibility for human resources, communications and safety-health-environment issues,” says Marcus Hedblom, President and CEO at Ovako. “Phetra’s experience of Ovako’s business operations and extensive knowledge of personnel issues will be valuable in the continued development of our group-wide efforts to strengthen managers and co-workers at all levels, as well as in efforts to develop and implement common procedures and systems in the areas of human resources, communications and safety.”
Karin Lagerstedt Woolford leaves Ovako’s Group Management, where she has served since 2014.
“Through her commitment and expertise, Karin has lifted human resources, communications and safety-health-environment to a new level at Ovako. Under her leadership, we have enhanced the skills within this function, established a modern business-adapted structure for leadership development, laid the foundation for integrated communication and improved our safety efforts, something we are now seeing clear results from,” says Marcus Hedblom. “I want to thank Karin for her contributions to Ovako and I wish her all the best for the future.”
