Ovzon gets extended order from the Italian National Fire Corps

Ovzon has received a new order from the Italian National Fire Corps - Corpo Nazionale dei Vigili del Fuoco – CNVVF, through its local partner Gomedia Satcom. The new order is a quadrupling of the capacity currently bought and service duration is for 12 months with start in May 2021. The order value is about 0.9 MUSD.

The order is an expansion of an initial order received earlier this year. The purpose is to equip all CNVVF regional offices, each based in one of Italy´s 20 districts, with the Ovzon mobile satellite communications capability. The service has already been successfully used in a variety of situations including an avalanche emergency call out in the Italian L´Aquila area earlier this year.
