OX2 acquires rights to 70 MW wind power project in Sweden from RWE Renewables Sweden
OX2 has agreed to acquire from RWE Renewables Sweden the rights to build the Riberget wind farm in the municipality of Ljusdal, Gävleborgs County, Sweden.
Under the agreement, OX2 will acquire 100 percent of the project. It comprises 12 turbines and has an estimated capacity of approximately 70 MW. The wind farm holds a legally binding permit and will be an addition to OX2’s Swedish project development portfolio for late-stage onshore wind power.
– We are looking forward to working alongside landowners, residents, and the municipality. When OX2 establishes wind farms, we always strive to achieve a positive impact on the nearby area, including greater biodiversity”, says Hillevi Priscar, Country Manager Sweden, OX2.
