OxySure and Frisco ISD implement first ever Cartridge Recycling Program
Frisco, Texas, November 7, 2011 – OxySure® Systems, Inc., a pioneering manufacturer of life-saving, easy-to-use emergency oxygen devices for lay person use launches a first of its kind cartridge recycling program with one of its most valued customers, Frisco Independent School District (FISD). OxySure and FISD have already begun the implementation of the program, which includes the establishment of a central collection depository for used cartridges where district nurses, coaches and staff can send the units for recycling. The depository will be housed at the maintenance division. OxySure, in coordination with the FISD maintenance, risk management and compliance departments will ensure periodic collection, safe handling and recycling of the OxySure cartridges.

The OxySure Model 615 is a revolutionary portable emergency oxygen delivery system, which has recently featured prominently in the national media, including the Today Show with Matt Lauer, in connection with the recent save of 12-year-old girl who had collapsed from sudden cardiac arrest in an FISD school. OxySure was used post-resuscitation, in accordance with universally accepted protocols and guidelines for CPR and cardiac emergencies.
Model 615 has a reusable housing, and a disposable cartridge that is easily and quickly replaced. The contents of the cartridges do not present traditional hazards associated with oxygen provision systems, such as for example fire hazards, explosion hazards or environmental hazards.
