LINING BUILT AN ADVANCED REMOTE MONITORING SYSTEM FOR WATER SUPPLY SERVICES USING TOSIBOX®

The water treatment technology company Lining Oy has implemented a next-generation remote monitoring system and virtual control room with TOSIBOX® Virtual Central Lock. The solution offers reliable service to customers in the water supply and sewerage systems industry all over Finland. Lining’s customers, service personnel and subcontractors can easily check system fault information using the TOSIBOX® Mobile Client application. 

Water supply and sewerage services are part of the critical infrastructure in cities and municipalities, and their maintenance requires secure and reliable remote connections. Lining chose Tosibox’s award-winning technology as the basis for its new connections. The TOSIBOX® Lock was installed in the Lining customers’ control rooms so that the monitored water supply systems can be accessed with the TOSIBOX® Keys. The actual keys are connected to the TOSIBOX® Virtual Central Lock, which now manages all the access rights centrally.

We have created a new-generation remote monitoring system for water supply management in collaboration with Tosibox in which a cloud-based virtual control room runs behind the Virtual Central Lock. This allows us and our customers to easily access the monitored systems, and we can respond very quickly to potential malfunctions,” says automation designer Ilari Mikkilä from Lining Oy.  

The Virtual Central Lock also enables communication between different systems. It is more common for municipalities to collaborate on water supply and sewerage services, which means that information can easily be transferred from one place to another. The solution also supports mobile work. With the TOSIBOX® Mobile Client application, system information can be read on all devices.
