PA Resources announces successful long term drill stem test at Diega I-8ST well in Equatorial Guinea

Submission of Diega plan of development is expected in 2014.The long term drill stem test on the Diega accumulation in Block I, Equatorial Guinea (PA Resources 5.7%) is now complete and the Atwood Hunter rig has been released. An initial pilot well, I-8, encountered 12 m vertical thickness of good quality oil pay with no water and so established the deepest known oil on the Diega accumulation. Subsequently the planned horizontal sidetrack I-8ST drilled some 400m of oil pay of similarly good quality and was tested for one month at constrained rates up to approximately 7,300 barrels of oil

Carla exploration well commences in Block I, Equatorial Guinea

PA Resources advises that the Noble Energy-operated I-7 exploration well on the Carla South exploration prospect in Block I (PA Resources 5.7%) was spudded by the Atwood Hunter semi-submersible drilling rig just before Easter.The Carla South prospect lies on trend with the Carla North discovery recently appraised in Block O to the north of Block I in Equatorial Guinea. The target is Tertiary sandstones of similar age to those in the discovery to the north and the well is expected to take around 25 days to reach total depth, with plans for a subsequent sidetrack of similar duration. Drilling of exploration well on Marine XIV completed

The exploration well Makouala Marine-1, located in Licence Marine XIV offshore the Republic of Congo (Brazzaville), has reached total depth at 2,700 meters. PA Resources confirms oil discovery on Lille John prospect

The oil and gas group PA Resources has now completed its sidetrack of the Lille John well to a Chalk target but did not encounter effective reservoir. PA Resources discovers oil in the Lille John prospect

The oil and gas group PA Resources has made an oil discovery in the Miocene sandstone level in the Lille John prospect in License 12/06 offshore Denmark. The exploration well will now be sidetracked to a Chalk target.The ongoing exploration well at the Lille John prospect has encountered approximately 5 meters of hydrocarbon pay in an overall Miocene sandstone/shale interval of 25 meters thickness at a depth of approximately 900 meters below mean sea level. Update on activities in Block H in Equatorial Guinea

The oil company White Rose Energy has announced a farm-in to Block H in Equatorial Guinea, which contributes to an advancement of the exploration activities in the block. Exploration well at Lille John spudded

The oil and gas group PA Resources continues its drilling campaign in Licence 12/06 in the Danish North Sea with the commencement of drilling of an exploration well at the Lille John prospect.In July an exploration well was drilled on the Broder Tuck prospect on the Danish License 12/06 and gas and condensate was discovered. In August, a side track encountered additional hydrocarbons. The well has now been plugged and abandoned.
