MEDICON VILLAGE, LUND, SWEDEN – Paindrainer AB is pleased to announce that the company has signed a commercial agreement with the Swedish Fibromyalgia Association, offering Paindrainer® as a complimentary membership benefit.

The Swedish Association of Fibromyalgia has been participating in the development of Paindrainer®, ensuring the creation of a user-friendly digital tool that adds value to the everyday life of those living with chronic pain. The agreement allows the association to actively promote Paindrainer as a membership benefit to enhance its position as a patient organization and attract new members.

“We are excited to join forces with the Swedish Association of Fibromyalgia to help their members understand and efficiently control their pain for an improved well-being. For Paindrainer AB, obtaining the association’s endorsement is an important validation of the value that Paindrainer® brings to their members. About Paindrainer AB

Paindrainer AB is a company developing digital platforms and applications contributing to health and well-being. Paindrainer was founded in 2018 by Prof. Carl Borrebaeck, Dr. Maria Rosén Klement, and Göran Barkfors. The idea was born when Maria, after participating in several pain rehabilitation programs, realized that the pain is affected by many more factors than the human brain can comprehend.

Paindrainer® is the first evidence-based AI powered digital tool demonstrating improved quality of life in patients suffering from chronic pain.

Paindrainer® coaches the users in managing their pain and planning their day not to exceed a certain pain level, and to ensure that there is enough energy left for highly valued activities. The solution is powered by leveraging advanced algorithms and is fully adaptive to each patient, a feature called 360o patient-centricity©.

Paindrainer® (Paindrainer PD1) is an FDA registered Medical Device Class 1 (510k exemption), MDR compliant and CE certified. www.paindrainer.com

About the Fibromyalgia Association

The Fibromalgia Assocation is a politically and religiously independent association consisting of around 30 organizations across the country. The association was formed in 1998 with the aim of increasing understanding of fibromyalgia and thereby helping and supporting others affected by the disease. Our work is conducted at the local, national, and international levels and includes activities such as participation in medical conferences, exhibitions, and events like Almedalen to gather and spread current knowledge.

As people with Fibromyalgi have been met with mistrust and ignorance over a long period, we need to work on changing that perception. We provide knowledge support in the form of written information and digital tools. We also work to help, advise, and support people with fibromyalgia, where one of the tools can be Paindrainer®.

We strive to ensure full participation and equality for everyone with fibromyalgia in all areas of society. We do this by working with environmental monitoring to be able to convey what is happening in the area and through increased amount of research on fibromyalgia to uncover the causes of the disease and thus more effective treatment.
