Global Creative Entertainment Provider Tops the Charts with Three-Year Sales Growth of 36,555.3%

Boston, MA; August 16, 2016 -- Inc. magazine today ranked Boston-based Creative Entertainment provider Paint Nite #2 on its 35th annual Inc. 5000, an exclusive ranking of the nation's fastest-growing private companies. The list represents the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy—America’s independent entrepreneurs. Companies such as Zappos, Under Armour, Microsoft and GoPro gained early exposure as members of the Inc. 5000.

The 2016 Inc. 5000 is the most competitive crop in the list’s history. The average company on the list achieved a mind-boggling three-year growth of 433%. The Inc. 5000’s aggregate revenue is $200 billion, generating 644,000 jobs over the past three years, or about 8% of all the jobs created in the entire economy during that period.

“Scaling a business provides few true milestones to really anchor success to,” says Dan Hermann, CEO and co-founder of Paint Nite. “The achievements don't typically come with a sense of permanency. Numbers you eclipse can slide backward even quicker than they came up, and as we seem to be constantly reminded, ‘past performance is not necessarily an indicator of future success’. Paint Nite reaching #2 on the Inc. 5000's fastest growing companies list, gives us that tangible accomplishment - it's a true team moment and it feels really great.”

In just four years, Paint Nite went from a three person startup hosting events in one city to a medium-sized company with more than 100 employees at its Boston-based headquarters - overseeing and supporting events in more than 1,600 cities globally.

Building on its incredibly successful entrepreneurial platform, in September 2015, Paint Nite launched a new event concept called Plant Nite. Similar to its sister concept, Plant Nite events are held in local bars, but instead of painting, guests have the opportunity to get their hands dirty turning an empty planter into a flourishing tabletop terrarium/garden to take home. Plant Nite events are now being held in 35 cities nationwide, with plans to expand to an additional 25 by the end of 2016.
