PLANT NITE EVENTS SPROUT UP IN CHICAGO
New Event Concept Hits Local Nightlife; Making Gardening Accessible
Chicago, IL; August 2, 2016 — Paint Nite, the leader of the viral social painting phenomenon, today announced the launch of its newest event concept, Plant Nite. Plant Nite is a new kind of night out that offers a creative way for people to socialize, drink, and get their hands dirty to create a custom terrarium in the comfort of their favorite local bar.
Plant Nite is the second event concept in the creative entertainment space, alongside its sister concept, Paint Nite. In about an hour and a half, while participants mingle with old friends and make new ones, a master gardener entertains, while providing step-by-step guidance, allowing attendees to turn an empty planter into a flourishing tabletop garden.
“At Plant Nite, we see grown professionals reignite the childhood bliss of playing in the dirt. The cocktails tends to facilitates that process,” said co-founder Sean McGrail. “The best part is, you don’t need to have an ounce of gardening ability - you just need to be open to having a good time.”
Plant Nite partners with local bars and restaurants, offering a variety of fun, social atmospheres to suit every need. Event locations, gardener information, and a sample of each featured planter can be found on PlantNite.com.
Seats are limited and event tickets, which include a planter, plants/flowers, decorative accessories, gardening supplies and entertainment via the hosting gardener, are sold in advance online. If desired, drinks and food to accompany the gardening experience can be purchased directly from the hosting bar.
“In addition to things, people are now looking to collect experiences,” says McGrail. “Walking home with a micro-landscape that is on display in their home or office for years to come, is a living memento of a great night out with friends.”
Plant Nite held its first public event in Chicago on July 25, 2016, and will host approximately 8-10 events each month at various bars and restaurants in and around the Chicago area. For more information, visit www.PlantNite.com.
