The Year of Social Painting: Paint Nite Hits Multiple Milestones, Fueling Significant Growth for 2016
BOSTON, MA; January 12, 2016 – Paint Nite, the global leader in social painting announced today, it had a record-breaking year, achieving a series of milestones, and opening the door to a new kind of entertainment.
In 2015, Paint Nite continued to expand its reach, adding 955 cities and towns to its ever-growing international roster of cities offering its events. 500 local artists and 1,000 local bars joined the Paint Nite platform to host the live, nightly events, allowing the company to serve up an average of 4,600 events each month.
Throughout the year, Paint Nite reached additional milestones including:
- Helping charitable organizations across the country raise more than $1 million through private fundraising events
- Selling its three millionth ticket - a milestone reached just four months after its two millionth ticket was sold
- Providing the opportunity for two million pieces of personalized art to be created by event-goers
In September 2015, building on its incredibly successful entrepreneurial platform, Paint Nite launched a new event concept called Plant Nite. Plant Nite, similar to its sister concept, brings people together in a social environment, but instead of painting, participants have the opportunity to get their hands dirty to create a flourishing tabletop garden to take home. Plant Nite events are now being held in five cities, with plans to expand nationally in early 2016.
“We grew 90% in 2015 - it was a great year,” said Dan Hermann, co-founder of Paint Nite. “But more importantly, our creative movement is gaining momentum; encouraging people to disconnect from their electronics, and re-connect with their friends and family in a social environment to do something creative. Exciting things are coming in 2016, and we're looking forward to sharing them in the months to come.”
Launched in Boston in March 2012, Paint Nite has quickly become a nightlife phenomenon with events held in more than 1,400 cities and towns worldwide. To learn more about Paint Nite or Plant Nite, or to find an event near you, visit www.paintnite.com or www.plantnite.com.
