Palm Unveils New Web Browser Optimised for Handhelds HTML Browser Offers High-speed Web-browsing Option HANNOVER, Germany, CeBIT, March 13, 2002 -- In a move that provides a powerful, web-browsing option for Palm(TM) handheld computers, Palm, Inc. (Nasdaq: PALM), a leading provider of handhelds, today unveiled the Palm Web Browser. This full-featured HTML browser gives users of Internet-enabled Palm m125, m130, m500, m505, m515 and i705 handhelds the ability to access any URL on the Internet, bookmark and categorize favorite sites, easily save information for offline viewing, and cache a history of visited sites. Users can do all this whether they are connected to the Internet wirelessly or via a modem. The Palm Web Browser is scheduled to be available in the United States on April 8, in Europe at the end of April and in other regions at a later date, for an estimated street price of EURO 23.
