Panattoni is one of Europe's largest developers of modern logistics properties and has established itself as a major player, with several ongoing projects in the Nordics over the past year. This week, the groundbreaking ceremony was held for Panattoni Park Rosersberg, which will offer a total of 40,000 m2 of warehouse space spread across two buildings in a city-adjacent location near Stockholm.

– For us, this is an obvious geographical location to invest in, as it is one of Sweden's best logistics locations with close connection to Rosersberg's combi terminal and proximity to the city of Stockholm. Establishing ourselves in Rosersberg is in line with our strategy to also offer our customers spaces in more central locations, says Fredrik Jagersjö Rosell, Managing Director at Panattoni.

Panattoni places a high priority on creating projects that meet the industry's highest sustainability standards, and Panattoni Park Rosersberg is no exception.

– In order to achieve our ambitious climate and sustainability goals, we make sure to work smarter, better, and more sustainably together with our customers and partners. In all of our current projects, we aim to achieve high certification levels, which for Rosersberg means Breeam Excellent, says Fredrik Jagersjö Rosell.

The construction company YLAB is reinforcing the outer roof of Panattoni Park Rosersberg, so that it is prepared for the potential installation of solar panels. The interior is based on flexible modular solutions so that the space can be adapted to new or more tenants without major reconstructions. And instead of pre-developing large parking areas – that may not be used by future tenants – Panattoni preserves and establishes surrounding green areas for a more sustainable and attractive outdoor environment.
– We are very proud that Panattoni is establishing its operations in this area. Stockholm North Logistics Center is an area that we, through a great collaboration with Sigtuna municipality and other important partners, have managed to grow and develop into what it is today, one of Sweden´s leading logistics areas, says Ove Nilsson, vice president of Kilenkrysset.

Panattoni Park Rosersberg plays a key role in the expansion of the logistics industry in Sigtuna. For the municipality, this means many new job opportunities and important revenue for the region. Olov Holst, chair of the municipal board in Sigtuna, took part in the groundbreaking ceremony and is very pleased with the project.

– Certainly, it's exciting that such a large international company has recognized the advantages of Rosersberg. Our municipality is in an outstanding location near Arlanda Airport and we are noticing that more and more enterprises are discovering its great potential and want to establish themselves here. We hope that the new premises will eventually become a workplace for many of our residents, says Olov Holst.

In the vicinity of Panattoni Park Rosersberg is one of Sweden's largest full-service terminals with access to the Swedish Transport Administration's infrastructure. The combi terminal enables new opportunities for efficient and sustainable transport between the European continent and Stockholm. The property is adjacent to the E4 route, which provides fast connections to Arlanda, Stockholm, Uppsala and cities all across the Nordic region.
