Panattoni, Europe's largest developer of logistics and industrial properties, strengthens its establishment in the Gothenburg region by signing an agreement with Företagsparken regarding purchase of a property with the possibility of building a logistics facility of approx. 14,300 sqm. The property is located near Landvetter Airport with close connection to the city of Gothenburg and a fast access to the Port of Gothenburg - Sweden's main logistics hub.

Panattoni has several projects for logistics properties in Mälardalen and Skåne and has now signed an agreement with Företagsparken. This results in Panattoni's first project in the area of Gothenburg, in a location close to the city and connection to national highway 40. With this property, Panattoni will be able to offer warehouse space of approx. 14,300 sqm, enabling efficient logistics for future tenants through its proximity to Landvetter Airport, the Port of Gothenburg as well as motorways.

“We want to offer our partners' logistics properties in the very best location within the so-called golden triangle between Stockholm, Gothenburg and Skåne. Since before, we have projects in both Skåne and Stockholm. We are extra happy for this opportunity, not only in view of the excellent logistics location, but also because we have our headquarters in Gothenburg and in this way we strengthen our presence on the west coast”, says Fredrik Jagersjö Rosell, CEO of Panattoni Sweden.

This project is a so-called Brownfield project. This means that there is already an existing

building on the property, old and outdated in relation to today's requirements from both investors and tenants. Panattoni will therefore replace the old building with a new, modern and sustainability-certified logistics property with e.g the entire roof prepared for photovoltaics. The ambition is to reach the sustainability standard BREEAM Excellent.

Advisers have been Croisette, and MVB Väst AB has been signed as general contractor.

"We are very grateful for the trust to continue develop attractive logistics facilities together with Panattoni. We have an already ongoing joint project in Skåne which will provide synergies in this contract", says Henrik Ljungdahl, CEO, MVB Väst AB.

Construction of the property (25 140 sqm) will start in 2023 and the building will consist of approx. 14,300 sqm, including a mezzanine with a flexible office that can be adjusted to tenants needs. The building can accommodate one or two tenants, with space from approx. 4,000 - 14,300 sqm. Estimated occupancy during the first quarter of 2025.
