AOA President to visit LECOM
Karen Nichols, D.O., President of the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), will visit the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine on Tuesday, May 3.
Erie, PA - Karen Nichols, D.O., President of the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), will visit the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine on Tuesday, May 3. She will be available for interviews with members of the media at 1:00 p.m. Please enter through the LECOM north entrance.
Dr. Nichols is an expert on national healthcare. She will talk to first and second year medical students about the current healthcare climate and how it will affect them in the future.
Karen Nichols became 114th AOA President and first woman to lead the organization in July 2010. She is a board certified internal medicine physician. Dr. Nichols has served as the Dean of the Midwestern University/Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine (MWU/CCOM) in Downers Grove, Ill., since 2002. This will be her first visit to LECOM Erie as AOA President.
