Erie Physician becomes 100th President of the Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association.
Frank M. Tursi, D.O. takes reigns of the nation’s largest state osteopathic medical association.
King of Prussia, PA - The Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association (POMA) has inaugurated Frank M. Tursi, D.O., of Erie, as the organization’s 100th president. Dr. Tursi is a family physician with Medical Associates of Erie and a professor of family medicine at the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. He is also an active staff member, resident trainer and director of medical education at Millcreek Community Hospital.
Dr. Tursi received his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his internship and residency at Millcreek Community Hospital. With his added qualifications in geriatric medicine, Dr. Tursi also practices at IHS at Bayside and Golden Living – Walnut Creek in Erie. He has been a POMA member for 30 years and has served with the House of Delegates, Board of Trustees and the Executive Committee. His is a past chairman of POMA District 7 and the state organization’s chairman of the Department of Association Affairs.
