Dental Systems, Inc. urges consumers to contact their governor, senator and congressman today!

Pittsburgh, PA – Dental Systems, Inc., a leading western Pennsylvania dental network, is urging consumers to contact Governor Tom Corbett as well as their senators and congressmen to protest proposed budget cuts which will eliminate Medicaid dental benefits.

According to Louis Rosellini, president of Dental Systems, Inc., Medicaid patients need to ACT NOW and voice their opinions by calling or emailing their Senator today.

“For anyone 21 and older covered by Medicaid, the proposed budget cuts will ELIMINATE their Medicaid optional dental benefits,” said Rosellini.

Rosellini explained that the proposed cuts to Medicaid dental benefits include:

  • Elimination of denture benefits
  • Elimination of crown benefits
  • Elimination of periodontal benefits (gum diseases and related conditions)
  • Elimination of endodontic benefits (root canals)
  • Possible reduction in number of yearly exams and cleanings

“As a family owned dental provider for more than 30 years, we’re doing all we can to ensure these patients have the coverage they need. We’ve been advising our patients to contact their dentist before July 1 to schedule appointments for any services that may be cut,” added Rosellini. “If they act now, at least they will have coverage for their immediate needs.”
