A Parans system has been installed at the museum ”Teknikens och Sjöfartens hus” in Malmö. The museum is temporarily undergoing a renovation. Via fiber optic cables the Parans system, model SP4-12, leads the sunlight 80 meters to a corridor. A hybrid luminaire, developed in collaboration with Toshiba, spreads light gently over the floor. When the sun is not shining the artificial LED light continues to give light. In this way, the same luminaire is used for both the natural light and the artificial.

The visitors of the museum and the many people passing through the corridor have the opportunity to experience sunlight far from windows. Skåneregionen (region in the south of Sweden) is a very progressive region in terms of innovative technology and sustainable solutions.
