No Royal Mail deliveries from Friday December 25 until Tuesday 29th following Ofcom ruling: Industry comment.
It has been confirmed by the postal industry regulator, Ofcom, that Royal Mail won't have to deliver on Saturday 26 December, Boxing Day, even though it's not officially a bank holiday (the bank holiday is the following Monday). That means there will be no Royal Mail post and parcel deliveries from Friday 25th December right through until the following Tuesday 29th. This ruling will also apply to every future Boxing Day that falls on a Saturday. http://stakeholders.ofcom.org.uk/consultations/royal-mail-uso/Decision-on-Royal-Mail-USO-Exemption-if-26-December-falls-on-a-Satuirday/?utm_
