Celebrate in Style this Christmas at The National Brewery Centre

Burton upon Trent, Staffordshire, UK – It’s the first Christmas since Burton’s premier attraction re-opened, and to mark the occasion, The National Brewery Centre and its bar and restaurant, The Brewery Tap, are laying-on a sumptuous, festive menu and programme of parties and events to make the season’s celebrations go with a bang. Christmas Menu From the 1st December, through to the 23rd, The Brewery Tap bar and restaurant will have a special, seasonal fixed-price Christmas menu available that offers a choice of main course including traditional turkey with potatoes roasted in beef dripping and garden vegetables - to a more inventive dish that uses the fabulous real ales created on site – such as homemade beef and ‘Worthington E’ pie, served with beef dripping chips, fresh, seasonal vegetables and a tankard of real ale gravy. This menu costs £12.95 for two courses and £14.95 for three courses. Christmas Parties Starting with a series of Christmas party nights, hosted at the Centre’s Worthington Suite and Brewery Tap Restaurant - partygoers will be able to enjoy a three-course , festive dinner, then dance the night away to a resident DJ who’ll keep the party going with a swing. Dates for these party nights are Friday 3rd December, Saturday 4th December, Friday 10th December and Saturday 11th December. Comedy Club Comedy lovers are set for a treat with the Firkin Christmas Comedy Club event that takes place on the 17th December. An impressive line-up of comedians, including Mark Restuccia, a performer that’s been described as “Absolutely Brilliant” by Sarah Farrell, Head of Comedy at Paramount; James Redmond, a dry, slick and subtle stand up who delivers unexpected twists and turns during his set as he deconstructs his art; Will Morris and Alex Voakes who’ll be performing the open slots and closing the evening’s entertainment will be Tony Burgess, an award-winning stand-up comic and writer. Tickets for the event, which are purchased in advance, cost £10 or £20 including a curry and are available from the Brewery Tap bar and restaurant or the National Brewery Centre. James Bond Party Night For revellers that prefer their Christmas celebrations ‘shaken, not stirred’ then a James Bond-themed party on Saturday, 18th December may just be the ticket. With a dress code of ‘black tie’ for the men and ‘fancy frocks’ for the ladies, the Centre is planning for a stylish and sophisticated ambience, complete with Vodka Martini cocktails, a three-course , festive dinner and a live band and DJ. Tickets for this special event cost £29.95 per person. Carol Singing Closing the season’s celebrations, on the 19th December, will be a charity carol singing event to raise money for the Centre’s nominated charity, The Queens Hospital Scanner Appeal. Starting at 4pm, guests will be able to enjoy a traditional festive sing song and a host of festive entertainment, including a hot mince pie. Tickets cost £3.50 per person and children under the age of 3 get in for free.
